Heavy package drop test system
For large packages with high mass, the vertical drop height during transportation will be inferior, and therefore a drop test with a relatively low drop height is required. The zero height drop tester is mainly used for large parcel drop tests.
The system uses an E-shaped fork that can rapidly move downwards as the bracket and specimen are positioned in equilibrium according to the test requirements (surface, corner, or edge drop tests). During the test, the fork races downward with an acceleration greater than 3G to ensure separation of the fork itself and the specimen, resulting in a free-fall condition. The standard fall distance is between 2.54cm and 120cm.
